Buffalo, New York Feb. 2, 2024-The Families of Flight 3407 would like to express heartfelt appreciation to Congressman Brian Higgins as he departs congress after serving 19 years as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives.

Beginning with our first meeting in Washington, D.C. in May 2009, Congressman Higgins demonstrated support, compassion, and dedication to our goals.    His leadership, counsel, and tireless efforts have played a pivotal role in the success achieved by the Families of Flight 3407 over the years. Whether it was championing crucial legislation, providing invaluable guidance, or speaking eloquently at press conferences, Congressman Higgins has been a friend and ally to our group.

While we are saddened by his departure from Capitol Hill, we take solace in knowing that his leadership and commitment to public service will continue to benefit the Buffalo community in his new role as President and CEO of Shea’s Performing Arts Center.

We extend our warmest wishes to Congressman Higgins as he transitions to this new and exciting chapter in his career. We have no doubt that his vision, integrity, and passion will continue to enrich the Buffalo community and beyond.

On behalf of the Families of Flight 3407, we thank Congressman Brian Higgins for his support over the years and wish him much success, happiness, and fulfillment in all his future endeavors.
