One Year Later, Flight 3407 Families to “Complete the Journey”; Hold Press Conference to Push for Senate Action on Airline Safety Bill

Buffalo, New York- February 10, 2010 – As previously announced, the “Families of Continental Flight 3407” will conduct a “Walk to Complete the Journey” this Friday on the one year anniversary of the horrific plane crash outside of Buffalo. After traveling the final 10.5 miles from the crash site at 6038 Long Street in Clarence Center to the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport, a press conference is scheduled at 2:30 p.m. At this press conference, the group hopes to call attention to the fact that critical safety legislation designed to address the issues that caused this tragedy continues to languish in the Senate, currently awaiting action by the Senate Finance Committee under the direction of Senator Max Baucus of Montana. Flight 3407 Families Prepare for NTSB and House Hearings – Issue Their Own ‘Call to Action’ for the FAA and Senate Finance Committee

Buffalo, New York- January 29, 2010 – The National Transportation Safety Board will hold a public hearing on the final accident report for Continental Flight 3407, operated by Colgan Air, on Tuesday, February 2nd, at 9:30 a.m. in the NTSB Conference Center in Washington. Over sixty members of the ‘Families of Continental Flight 3407’ are expected to be in attendance, and as the final chapter in the investigative phase is completed and the one year anniversary approaches, the group is calling for quicker action from two key government entities to prevent a repeat of this tragedy.
